Afterschool Offerings
Afterschool programs, grouped by activity type, offered on specific days of the week. Trinity Youth Library is open Monday–Friday, 3–6pm. Afterschool closures: December 14–January 8, January 15, January 29, and February 19–23. Celebration days: December 13 and June 13. Link to a printable schedule.

You don't want to miss out—we've got a full gym with a basketball court, a teaching kitchen, and plenty of space to hang out or do homework. Enrolling gets you connected to afterschool programs, academic support, and resources in the city like Urban Word, the New York Public Library, and the Department of Youth and Community Development.
Trinity Youth includes parishioners, students from Trinity’s school partnerships, and youth from across NYC. Volleyball with Big City Volleyball
Whether you are a committed volleyball player looking for a pick-up game on Wednesdays or an up-and-coming player looking to improve your skills on Mondays, or if you just want a fun workout at the end of a long school day, you are welcome anytime!

Soccer with Downtown United Soccer
Guided by Downtown Soccer United Coaches, Trinity Youth members are invited to play Soccer on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at the Trinity Commons. Whether you are a skilled soccer player looking for a pick-up game or an up-and-coming player looking to improve your skills and learn the game. Open to all Experience levels.

Art
Jazz House Kids
Jazz House Kids classes include free musical training and jazz education for beginners to advanced players in grades 6 to 12. Students will work with world-class teaching artists in small-group lessons and jazz ensembles. New, donated instruments are provided to all beginner musicians to kick start their musical journeys by Jazz House Kids' Give an Instrument and Page One Programs.
Art Explorations
Try your hand at new art techniques and mediums with NYC DOE Art teacher, Danielle White, and Miguel Braceli of Children’s Museum of the Arts. Experiment with different materials and styles to create pieces to be displayed at an end-of-year celebration.

Community Ties
Drop by the Youth Lounge and make friendship bracelets with teaching artist SK Doyle and other members of Trinity Youth. Crafting is a great way to lower stress, connect with friends, and create a gift for yourself or friends and family. All materials will be provided.

Open Art
Join the new artists in residence from Children’s Museum of the Arts for drop-in artmaking. Whether you are completing a special project for school, want to learn a new technique, or simply want time to doodle, this is the space for you. All materials, including art journals, will be provided.

Film Class & Film Club with Montclair Film Festival
If you are interested in film production or just watching films, this is the place for you. In the hands-on filmmaking workshop each Monday, students will learn the art of filmmaking from script to screen. On the 2nd Fridays of each month, students will meet to screen and discuss a film that has been specifically designed to spark conversation and engage students.
Dance Class with Alvin Ailey Extension
Ailey Extension exemplifies Alvin Ailey’s legacy that dance comes from the people and should be given back to the people by making dance accessible all people in a welcoming, non-competitive environment.Each class involves learning original choreography while focusing on theatrical elements and mastering musicality.

Learning & Growth
Gender Sexuality Alliance
Join this youth-led collective to talk, plan events like Queer Prom and movie nights, and create a space to feel comfortable and have fun.

Mindfulness for Teens with the Lineage Project
Join Trinity and Lineage Project's unique classes, which weave together movement (e.g., yoga/Tai Chi), facilitated dialogue on a guiding question, and guided meditation. Each Lineage class is organized around a theme, such as “determination,” that threads the three parts of the model together, draws out students’ inner wisdom, and fosters connection among participants.

Chess Club
Play chess in a relaxed club-like atmosphere and develop your analytical thinking and creative skills. Basic chess instruction, puzzle solving, and chess tactics and strategy, along with more advanced gameplay techniques, will be shared.

Academics
Test Prep with A-List Education
Trinity will continue collaborating with Alist Education to offer free Drop-in Tutoring and Test Prep for Enrolled Trinity Youth who will take any standardized testing in Spring or need help working through a school essay. Alist will provide instructors and Testing Materials such as books and diagnostic tests.

Tutoring and Homework Help with A List Education
We know that school can be stressful. When you enroll for Trinity Youth, our staff will connect with you about subjects you’d like help with, difficult assignments, and your academic goals. To support all our youth, tutoring will be available Monday through Thursday in the Quiet Study Space. You got this.

If you’re looking for a quiet space to study after school, look no further. We’ve set aside space for you to hang out and do your homework on the fifth floor of Trinity Commons.
