What You Need to Know

Trinity is committed to keeping our parish and community safe. Volunteers are required to meet the following requirements:

Orientation

All volunteers must attend an orientation session facilitated by Trinity staff.

Background Check

To create a safe and welcoming space for everyone, background checks (investigative consumer reports) are mandatory for volunteers who work closely with children, teens, and vulnerable adults.

Investigative Consumer Report FAQs

We offer these additional training opportunities for our volunteers:

Safe Church Training

This training teaches participants to recognize the signs of sexual abuse and the behavior of sexual perpetrators, to respond to those signs and behaviors when they are observed, and offers screening information to help stop abuse before it happens.

MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness

Trinity requires all participants who will have direct contact with minors and other vulnerable populations to complete MinistrySafe Sexual Abuse Awareness training before participating in our volunteer program. This training equips staff and volunteers to better understand the risks of child sexual abuse.

Mental Health First Aid Training

This training teaches the skills needed to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, as well as how to provide someone initial support until they are connected with appropriate professional help. Workshops include programs for adults and youth in English and Spanish.
