Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Mark Brown, “The Miracle of Being”

At first glance, the miracle of Jesus walking on water is a story of God’s awe-inspiring power and the weakness of our faith. Yet the Rev. Mark Brown sees the Gospel of Matthew as a springboard for reflecting upon the many miracles since Creation needed for our current existence to happen. Like Jesus, we can step away from life’s urgency to recharge our sense of wonder and fill us with a new sense of possibility — so that we can swing back into action to heal the world.
