Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Elizabeth Blunt: "The Power of Unselfish Love"

What does it mean for Earth Sunday and Good Shepherd Sunday to fall on the same day? For Mother Beth, it’s a reminder that Jesus, our loving and tenderhearted shepherd, calls us to care for our neighbors just as much as we care for our beautiful world. 
 “We can’t demean our neighbors and preserve the earth at the same time. We can’t plant gardens while we sow discord. The power that defines the kingdom of heaven, the kingdom for which you and I are preparing each and every day, is the power of unselfish, unstinting love. It delights in humility and service.”
