Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Elizabeth Blunt, "Love Casts Out Fear"

September 24, 2023

"When we carry Jesus with us, when we try our best to make compassion the center of who we are," explains the Rev. Elizabeth Blunt, "fear fades."

The Parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard (Matthew 20:1–16) reminds us of "the breadth and depth of divine love that renders human concepts of merit insignificant."

May we take joy in the good of others and look past worldly measures of success, toward the promise of eternal life.

The readings are Exodus 16:2–15; Psalm 105:1–6, 37–45; Philippians 1:21–30; and Matthew 20:1–16. Watch the sermon.
