Knowledge Bites: Parenting, Stress and the Child

January 29, 2021

Stress can impact our functioning as adults in many ways, but we are not the only ones impacted by it. Children, especially during critical periods of development, may also feel the impacts of our stress. Now, with stress for many people existing at an all-time high due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on our daily lives, it may be more useful than ever to be aware of the ways stress impacts our relationships as caregivers and how our children respond.

Join us for a free lunchtime talk with professionals from the Pace University McShane Center for Psychological Services as they discuss the basics of child development, tips for identifying stress in children and helping them cope with it, and helpful ways to reduce our own stress levels while interacting with children.

Trinity Commons Knowledge Bites offer accessible and engaging conversations and learning opportunities for all ages on a range of topics, such as parenting, stress management, education, mindfulness, and mental health wellness.
