Friday Sermon, The Rev. Mark Brown "Freedom to Follow"

At Trinity’s midday worship, the Rev. Mark Brown unpacks a very human situation that plays out after a breakfast of barbecued fish on the beach: a conversation between Jesus and the apostle Simon Peter. It’s been less than six weeks since Peter denied Jesus three times on the night of Jesus’s arrest so the conversation was probably a  little awkward. However, Father Mark notes that their relationship is repaired, with Jesus reminding Peter, and us, that following Jesus isn’t all that complicated and really comes down to love, and to service.
