Family Service Sermon, The Rev. Michael A. Bird "The Man Carrying the Cross on the Beach"

Picture this: a man walking along a Florida beach, carrying a cross, a cross with a wheel, by the way. It’s a true story from the teenage years of the Rev. Michael Bird, who says there's a lesson to be learned about what Jesus did NOT mean about carrying our cross. Father Michael reminds us that what we sometimes call “our crosses to bear,” --- the challenges, pains, and difficulties of life --- are never solo tasks.
