Family Service Sermon, The Rev. Matthew A. Welsch, "Know that I Am with You"

In Genesis 28:10–19a, after a fight with his family, Jacob runs into the wilderness, completely alone, and has a dream: Angels traveling on a huge ladder that connects Heaven and Earth, and God standing beside him. "I am here with you, and I will go with you wherever you go," God says.

"It's easy to feel like Jacob," said the Rev. Matthew A. Welsch during the 9am service on July 23. "Out in the middle of nowhere, cut off from loved ones, cut off from God, cut off from the things that matter to us. [But] there is no place we can go where God can't reach us and remind us we are loved."
