Elaine Race Massacre

Poet and Trinity parishioner Chester Johnson has organized a symposium on September 20 to commemorate the Elaine Race Massacre, when more than 100 African-Americans were killed in Arkansas in 1919. The massacre and the legal battles that followed helped lay the groundwork for the Civil Rights Movement.
