For today’s Comfort at One, we bring you the “From Subway to Success” story of the mold-breaking composer Andy Akiho from our 2016 Subway Series at Concerts at One. Akiho is an eclectic composer and performer of contemporary classical music who spent time busking on the subways with his primary instrument—the steel drum. Join us again this Thursday, July 15, for a first look at the world premiere virtual performance of Akiho’s new work Seven Pillars, commissioned by Sandbox Percussion.
