Today’s Comfort at One features an amazing premiere video from our principal percussionists in NOVUS NY: Sandbox Percussion. The score for Jason Treuting's extremes leaves a lot up to the performers—it calls for a high sound, a low sound, a sound that keeps a steady pulse, and some kind of pitched instrument. Extremes is one of the first pieces that Sandbox learned as a group back in 2011, and this version is a re-imagination using sounds they could find at home. This recording was created entirely with 4 iPhones, Logic Pro, Adobe Premiere, and a bunch of free time.
