9am Easter Day Sermon, The Rev. Phillip A. Jackson: “The Day He Was Not There: 2,000 Years of Wonder”

April 17, 2022

"Our worlds are very different from antiquity. We have different cares and concerns," preaches the Rev. Phillip A. Jackson. "But even 2,000 years and a world of difference apart, we too are amazed, perplexed, startled, fearful, wondering, and joyful that God rose Jesus from the dead and He lives in us." In a retelling of the events of the original Easter Day, Father Phil contrasts the ways we are similar to and different from the people in Jesus's day. The readings are Isaiah 65:17–25; Psalm 118; 1 Corinthians 15:19–26; and Luke 24:1–12.
