We are an Episcopal retreat center: a place apart for rest, quiet, prayer, discovery, connection, and reflection. We celebrate the restorative presence of God in nature and in community for spiritual renewal, stewardship of creation, and support for the ongoing work of love, service, and justice.
Learn about Trinity Retreat Center
The retreat center, located in the Northeast in West Cornwall, Connecticut, offers a place of spirituality and gracious, authentic hospitality—where you can slow down, connect deeply with nature, experience the rhythm of a community, enjoy farm-to-table meals, discern direction for your life, and go home ready to make an even greater impact on the world.
Trinity Retreat Center is an Episcopal mission of Trinity Church Wall Street and is open to everyone, regardless of denomination or faith.
We spent two days here on a Vestry Retreat—it was the perfect location! Beautiful space for worship and meetings, and the meals were heavenly. I am looking to go for another weekend retreat by myself at some time. Highly recommend.
Our Buildings and Grounds
The newly renovated Episcopal retreat center reopened in the fall of 2017. Located on the Housatonic River in West Cornwall, Connecticut in the Northeast United States, adjoining more than seven hundred acres of conservation trust and state forest, the property includes 26 guest rooms, a historic stone chapel, a monastic garden, an orchard, a working farm, a donkey sanctuary, hiking trails, a community hall, meeting rooms, and quiet spaces for rest and reflection that foster spirituality and wellness.
We strive to keep our prices affordable. Rates include your stay in a guest room with a private bathroom, as well as all meals, activities, meeting spaces, and equipment.
We offer 25 private guest rooms at the retreat center, each with a private bathroom with shower, and views of the river, forest, or farm. Fully renovated in 2017, rooms come with linens, towels, and air-conditioning.
The kitchen is our second chapel and the table is our second altar. Much of the food prepared by our kitchen staff is farm-to-table, sourced both from the retreat center and locally.
While you’re visiting the retreat center, take time to visit our little donkey sanctuary on the edge of the Trinity Forest. We have six donkeys. They were rescued from kill pens, and their rescue embodies our mission to be a refuge for those who need peace, comfort, and healing on life’s journey.
