In keeping with an end-of-the-year tradition at Trinity Church Wall Street, it’s time to review the most popular videos of the past year as seen on the Trinity website and various social media platforms.

Here’s the Top 10 list, in reverse order.

Trinity Salutes Our Own Essential Workers

The list begins with a video released in July, to coincide with New York City’s ticker-tape parade saluting essential workers, some of who are Trinity staff members.

The Great Vigil of Easter Sermon "Reclaim, Recall, Retell"

Number 9 takes us back to April and the iconic liturgy known as the Great Vigil of Easter, which begins after sunset on Holy Saturday.
 


2021 Top Videos - Number 8

"We will always be here.” The Rev. Phil Jackson shares his 9/11 remembrance.

Twenty years have passed since the attacks on the World Trade Center on 9/11 and, as part of the anniversary commemoration, Trinity’s Priest-in-charge, the Rev. Phillip Jackson, shared a personal reflection, the eighth most popular video of the year.

Palms and Passion
 

The next video takes us back to Holy Week in late March when the Rev. Dr. Mark Bozzuti-Jones noted that Palm Sunday is also called Passion Sunday, and meditated on the connection between those two titles.

Holy Week in the Shadows
 

Another Holy Week video placed in the Number 6 position, with the Rev. Michael Bird, Trinity’s Vicar, explaining the office of Tenebrae.

Trinity's Family Worship
 

The fifth most popular video is also the shortest on our list. It’s an invitation to join in family worship in Trinity’s new parish hall.

Easter Day is the primary feast of the Christian calendar and the Rev. Phil Jackson’s sermon that day holds the number four position on our list.

Trinity’s Comfort at One began as a response to the coronavirus pandemic and many of the programs are extremely popular, none more so than a performance last winter by Trinity’s own Farrah Dupoux.
