Join us for worship this Celebration Sunday

Friends,

One of the happiest days in my time as a priest was May 23, 2021, the day we reopened Trinity Church for the 11:15am service. In the more than 12 months before, I missed seeing you and worshiping with you in person, even as we knew it was the best way to keep everyone safe in the middle of this COVID-19 pandemic.

This Sunday, September 19 — Celebration Sunday — I’m anticipating another joyful day when we meet in person again for the 8am Holy Eucharist and the 9am Holy Eucharist, both at Trinity Church, the 9:15am Family Service, which is moving to the Parish Hall at Trinity Commons, and the 8pm Compline by Candlelight, which is moving to Trinity Church. Entrance to all services will be through the gates of Trinity Church.

Church is at its best in community, and while we have remained in close, albeit online, community for the past 18 months, I look forward to seeing you on September 19.

We will keep many of our current safety measures in place so that we can do our best to stay physically healthy while boosting our spirits. There will be health screenings before you enter the buildings. Masks will be required inside at all times. We will keep track of who is on site so we can conduct contact tracing if necessary. We will adhere to capacity limits.

Our weekday worship services and most small groups will remain online for the time being. Discovery, our adult formation series, will test a blended model of in-person and online classes beginning September 26. We hope you continue to take part in these offerings as we work to open up more of our classes and gatherings safely.

If you would like to learn more about the schedule or our safety measures, please visit trinitywallstreet.org/reopening.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
