Family Service Sermon, The Rev. C. Alfred Loua: "Going Up the Mountain"

In today’s Gospel we see Jesus retire after a hard day’s work of healing the gathered crowds by going “up the mountain.” We have heard this phrase before, preaches Father Alfred, from the mouth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. But what does it mean for us to “go up the mountain?” To achieve the impossible with God by our side. The reading is John 6:1–15.
