In Genesis, God calls creation “good” six times before humans are even created. In a season when that good creation is damaged and crying out, often contributing to the suffering of the poor and the oppressed, join us for an online weekend retreat exploring the ecological crisis through the lens of liberation theology.

The Rev. Joseph Rose, Trinity Retreat Center's executive director and a transitional deacon in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, will lead five sessions of prayer, meditation, confession, and listening for God’s heartbeat in nature and among the most vulnerable. From the retreat center’s farm, forest, and riverbanks, Rose will draw from Scripture, poetry, and the Book of Common Prayer’s Baptismal Covenant will invite all who join to ponder the cosmic scope of God’s salvation in Jesus and how we can extend our Creator’s liberating, redemptive activity to the natural world.

Streaming on the Trinity Retreat Center Facebook page, July 22-24, at the following times:

·      Friday 7–7:30pm

·      Saturday 10–10:30am, 2–2:30pm, and 8–8:30pm

·      Sunday 4–4:30pm
