In Genesis, God calls creation “good” six times before humans are even created. In a season when that good creation is damaged and crying out, often contributing to the suffering of the poor and the oppressed, join us for an online weekend retreat exploring the ecological crisis through the lens of liberation theology. The Rev. Dr. Mark Bozzuti-Jones, Trinity Retreat Center’s priest and director of spiritual formation, and Laura Alexander, the retreat center’s farm manager, will lead a weekend of prayer, meditation, confession, and listening for God’s heartbeat in nature and among creations most vulnerable. From the retreat center’s farm, forest, and riverbanks, they will draw from Scripture, poetry, and the Book of Common Prayer’s Baptismal Covenant to ponder the cosmic scope of God’s salvation in Jesus and how we can extend our Creator’s liberating, redemptive activity to the natural world.
