Join renowned sacred artist Susan vonMedicus to learn the history and prayerful practice of manuscript production in Ireland at the time of the Book of Kells from the 6th century to the 8th century. Through this online weekend retreat, artists will learn insular script calligraphy from the Books of the Golden Age of Ireland, along with decorative presentation of the Gospels and Psalms and techniques for illumination with paint where colors make the words come alive.
No experience is necessary to join this online workshop. Materials and tools will be mailed to you, and the cost is $310. A Zoom link will be sent to participants two weeks prior to the retreat.
