Join C. Ellis Reyes Montes for this online retreat surveying the current musical situation within the Episcopal Church, with an emphasis on the ways race and difference are represented. We will consider the biblical and historical influences on our church music today as we delve into the issues of racism, xenophobia, misogyny, transphobia, and homophobia that abound within our published musical resources and within our church walls. Throughout, we will also examine best practices for our musicians and congregations to affect reconciliation through our individual actions and worship community culture.

This free retreat will take place over five half-hour sessions throughout the weekend at these times; all times are Eastern.
