Stained Glass at Trinity Church

Stained Glass at Trinity Church

Trinity Church Wall Street received and installed a new stained-glass window in 2022, created by the renowned British stained-glass artist Thomas Denny. The window, which illustrates both “The Parable of the Talents” and “The Judgment of the Nations” from the gospel according to Matthew, faces east from the main entrance of the church on Broadway and can be viewed on Wall Street with the New York Stock Exchange just one block away. While this is the first new stained-glass window installed in Trinity in more than a century, the parish’s history with stained-glass windows dates back to at least 1846 and the construction of the third and current church building, widely considered to be the Neo-Gothic masterpiece of architect Richard Upjohn. The installation of the new stained-glass window is part of the rejuvenation of Trinity Church which began in May 2018.
