Sunday Sermon, The Rev. Elizabeth Blunt: “Prioritizing the Good of the Other”

This week’s scripture readings call us to see ourselves as connected to one another in relationship, preaches the Rev. Elizabeth Blunt, and celebrate the kind of love that finds its own fulfillment in the joy and flourishing of our neighbors. “A heart that remains true and undefiled before God,” says Mother Beth, “is one that prioritizes the good of the other, that actively cares for the people in greatest need, that invests in compassion.”
