In today’s midday homily, the Rev. Elizabeth Blunt explained to us the appearance of Jesus to his disciples after his resurrection. After reading the story, we have all kinds of questions about the resurrected body of Jesus. “Jesus through his death hallowed hunger and wounds and weakness,” said Mother Beth. She also reminds us that “our bodies are not yet what they will become but neither are they enemies.” Our bodies may not be perfect or even fail us sometimes, but they are incredibly precious in the eyes of God.
Watch today’s homily. The readings are Acts 3:11–26 and Luke 24:36b–48.
