Christmas Eve Sermon, The Rev. Phillip A. Jackson: "Emmanuel: God With Us"
December 24, 2022
During the pandemic, we were told that the only way to protect one another is to be isolated from one another. But what if not having friends is bad for your health?
"Profound connection is the final goal of life and faith," said the Rev. Phillip Jackson, Rector of Trinity Church Wall Street, at tonight's Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist. "Faith names the ways we seek such profound connection on a transcended eternal plane."
On Christmas, God says to us, "I am with you." We are not alone. The readings are Isaiah 9:2–7; Psalm 96:1–4, 11–12; Titus 2:11–14; and Luke 2:1–20. Watch the sermon.
