Your Poems. Your Prayers: A Weekend Retreat with Mary Oliver and Maya Angelou
Trinity Church Wall Street is a welcoming, inclusive Episcopal community that worships at two historic Lower Manhattan churches – Trinity Church and St. Paul’s Chapel. Visitors of all faiths are invited and encouraged to take part in daily worship services, explore the buildings and grounds, and watch free concerts and neighborhood events.
Ordinary and Extraordinary Saints
10am, Sundays, September 25-October 16, Trinity Commons and online
We often think of saints as perfect and one dimensional. In this series we learn about the lives of people who served, sacrificed, and followed their faith calling and explore what they can teach us about our own life of faith. Learn about Elizabeth Burrow, a courageous journalist in Arkansas who fought segregation in the 1950s, on September 25; Edith Cavell, a WWI nurse who tended the war injured and helped soldiers escape, on October 2; and the Rev. Pauli Murray on October 9 and 16.
Trinity Church Wall Street is delighted to announce the upcoming fall music season, which will include the return of Bach at One, performances by NOVUS NY, and Handel’s Messiah, alongside a new jazz concert series and dynamic collaborations.
